What is the LARC Advisory Board?
Our advisory board helps to shape and lead LARC’s work. The advisory board includes journalists, producers and communications professionals. The board meets monthly and each member contributes approximately 3-5 hours a month helping with different needs across LARC’s programs, including events, fellowships, communications, and more.
What is the LARC Leadership Council?
Our leadership council helps grow LARC’s reach and build a sustainable organization. The leadership council includes professionals with a wide variety of backgrounds, all eager to build a vibrant journalism ecosystem in LA. The leadership council meets quarterly and provides additional ad hoc guidance and advice.
Are there other ways to volunteer with LARC?
Yes! As a small nonprofit, volunteers help LARC build the compelling programming and strong relationships that local journalists need to thrive. Our volunteers support event logistics, mentor emerging journalists, photograph our initiatives, lead workshops and so much more. Most importantly, volunteers are part of a thriving community of journalists, media makers and nonfiction storytellers.
