What is the LA Reporting Collective?
Los Angeles Reporting Collective (LARC) is a nonprofit project supporting emerging journalists and civic media across Southern California. We provide free mentorship, training, and collaborative opportunities that help reporters develop skills and tell stories that matter. Rooted in values of equity, transparency and local impact, LARC collaborates with partners like KCRW, LA Public Press and the LA Press Club on accessible public programming that uplifts underrepresented voices of our region.
LARC has fiscal sponsorship through the 501(c)(3) organization Independent Arts & Media (IAM),
which allows us to receive grants and tax-deductible donations.
